A fine, 19th Century, Louis XV style Trumeau Mirror, with an oval Romantic-style oil-painting on canvas surmounting the rectangular mirror plate, both enclosed within raised gilt borders in the Rococo style, with foliage motif.
The painted scene retaining good color, depicts four children and a dog playing music and picnicing in the countryside.
The crest a finely-executed shell design, with meandering form along the frame of the painting and mirror.
