In reverse glass painting, the artist paints on the side of glass opposite that which will be viewed. Almost a mental exercise, the artist must plan the painting in great detail as the smallest finishing elements much actually be painted first.
Overall this painting is in very good condition. There is some paint chipping above boy's head (shown in picture).
