Adrien Godien (b. 1873) "Bouquet of Red Flowers in a Blue Vase"
Born in Lyon, France in 1873, Godien began his studies at the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts de Lyon in 1888 studying with Tony Tollet, Carrand and Vernay. In 1896 he began exhibiting his works at the Salon in Lyon and then in Paris in 1899. A painter of portraits and Lyonnais Cityscapes, he also worked on engravings, book illustrations, fabric and tapestry designs, and designs for iron light fixtures. Listed in Benezit, vol. 6.
